Good governance is about more than just showing up. Engaging board members requires good communication, ongoing support, and opportunities to see your mission in action. The pandemic has taken its toll on many boards and re-engaging board members is vital to the organization’s success. A strong board, and especially its leadership, should be an ongoing process with year-round activities with clear strategic goals.
In this session you will learn to recognize what motivates board members to excel in their roles and deepen their ongoing commitment to the organization. We will identify the practices that support engagement and foster leadership development. We will also discuss the importance, role, and responsibilities of an effective Board Development Committee.
