BoardStrong’s mission is to help nonprofit organizations achieve the highest standards of board leadership, governance and oversight. We do this by providing nonprofit board training, consultation and educational resources. We also have an online recruitment platform that helps organizations find talented board candidates from outside their networks. BoardStrong is a subsidiary of the New York Council of Nonprofits (NYCON).

Nonprofit boards are not charged a fee to use or post jobs to BoardStrong.

Are board candidates charged a fee to register with BoardStrong?

There is no fee for an individual to register as a candidate and use BoardStrong

Why are there no candidates or boards in my geographic area?

BoardSTRONG is a growing network. Marketing efforts are concentrated within the membership and geographic areas of our community partners and supporters. Consequently the development of candidate and nonprofit users in some areas may be slow. If you would like to help grow BoardStrong in your community, consider joining one of our regional advisory councils.
